德州兇殘婦將赴刑場 美國自2010年來第一個被處死的女犯

    德州一名女殺人犯，即將伏法，她將是美國自2010年以來第一個、也是德州八年多來，第一個被處死的女受刑人。

    51歲的麥卡西過去在養老院擔任治療師，1997年她殺害一個鄰居老太太，起訴書說，她在受害人還沒有氣絕的時候，就剁下對方手指，拿走鑽戒，當了兩百美元，購買毒品，她在1998年被定罪，可是三年後，上訴法院以警方取供程序不合法推翻判決，2002年全案重審，她被判死刑。

    美國從1976年恢復死刑之後，只有12名女性被處死，同期間，有一千三百多名男死刑犯伏法。

    德州是美國執行死刑最多的州，總共處死了492人，裡面只有三名女受刑人。
