RSS發明人 紐約自殺身亡

    　RSS規格發明人、Reddit創始人的著名網路活躍者史瓦茲，昨天在紐約市布魯克林自宅上吊自殺。

    　史瓦茲（Aaron Swartz）是網路新世代十分知名的網路行動主義者，天才型的他，14歲就參與RSS 1.0規格創作，在程式設計圈極富盛名。史瓦茲也是美國社群新聞網站Reddit創始人。

    　史瓦茲昨天上午在布魯克林自宅臥室上吊身亡，年僅26歲。據了解，警方在現場並未發現遺書，但研判應該是自殺。

    　2011年夏天，史瓦茲被指控非法下載超過480萬篇學術期刊與文件，遭到美國聯邦政府起訴被捕。這起案件預計在2月正式判決，一旦定罪，他可能面臨35年有期徒刑。

    　目前尚不知史瓦茲的自殺是否與這起案件有關。史瓦茲曾表示自己深受憂鬱症所苦。1020113
